I don’t really want to brag but I just have to say that after months of preparation and endless sweating due to nervousness, I rocked my best man speech. The best man speech jokes that I delivered were effortless according to the audience and even from the groom himself who was the focal point of my jokes. Of course, I have nerves, especially during the start of the speech but thankfully, I was able to pull it off. I really have to thank my brother for since he’s the one who told me that whatever I say during the speech, good or bad, he’ll still accept it.

With the help of my other siblings, I was able to finish my best man speech that will be delivered this weekend, my brother’s wedding. If truth be told, I’m really nervous about it since in our family, I’m the least vocal about my feelings and I do have stage fright. But in this occasion, I really don’t care, too. This is because, just for once, I want to show my brother that I appreciate all the things that he’d done for me and the whole family. I appreciate his love so much that I just inserted few best man speech jokes.

 

Writing best man speech jokes is not easy; but it can be hilarious. When my brother got married, I was his best man. And oh, I really sweated over the best man speech because I wanted it to be something that would not only be memorable for everyone but something that will convey my deepest appreciation and gratitude towards my brother and my now-sister-in-law. When I wrote the best man speech, the tone is very serious and even melodramatic. When I inserted the best man jokes, the mood of the speech leveled-up a lot; thus making all the guests and most specially the couple very happy.

I’m more of a listener mainly because I get stage fright. That’s why I don’t really like talking in front of a large crowd. And then I start babbling. But even with this weakness of mine, I will happily practice and practice even in front of the mirror until I control my nerves for my best friend’s wedding. My oldest best friend, my partner in crime since preparatory school days is finally tying the knot. And I have the honor of standing beside him during his special day. All the things that I want to say to him will finally be said in front of so many guests, I just hope that the best man speech jokes would earn even chuckles from the audience.

One thing that truly scares me is talking in front of a large audience. I get stage fright so bad that I usually shake while standing. That’s why when my brother and my soon-to-be sister-in-law asked me to be their best man at their wedding; I was really hesitant at first to the point of pointing other people/men to be their best man. But after thinking about it, I’m glad that my brother didn’t accept my half-hearted plea. They even urged and encouraged me. In fact, my brother even told me that he can accept all the best man speech jokes as long as I say “yes.”

 

I’m a legendary best man! If there’s a male version of the “always a bridesmaid, never a bride” notion, I AM THAT PERSON! I’ve stood as best man to my three college best buds. I’ve been best man to my brothers’ weddings. And even act as one at my little sister’s wedding. This is very unusual since most men I know only stood as best man once or twice in their lives. But I’m not complaining at all, after all these people are my family and friends and I love them all to a fault. Besides, being best man always has perks, too. I am now known for my best man jokes. And this is not bad at all since I get to spend wonderful time with the lady guests after delivering my jokes.

 

I am a woman but here I am trying to write a best man speech. I’m doing this for the love of my brother who almost begged me to help him write a short one for his best friend’s wedding. Don’t get me wrong, all the ideas on this piece of paper are from my brother, specially the silly best man jokes. I’m just constructing them in a way that his best friend, whom I think of as an honorary brother, won’t get embarrassed. I love these two boys (yes, they’re still boys in my eyes) so much that I need to act as an equalizer to my brother’s overly sense of humor. I just hope that his best friend won’t kill us after hearing my brother’s jokes.

The main task of the best man during the event is to be the master planner; hence, you are bound to announce any further activities if this no master of ceremony, or to introduce the next speaker, if there is any. Also as best man, you should read the letters, cards, or any form of communication sent by families and friends abroad who would also like to greet the new couple the best wishes.
